Out and about

The whole area is full of places to visit from inland Spanish towns to some of the best beaches anywhere. Nearby Alicante is a major city with plenty of shops and huge department stores plus numerous museums, galleries etc. You can take a ferry from here for a day in Ibiza or to the island of Tabarca if you wish.

Alicante is a city with lots of historical features; the Castillo de Santa Barbara is an ideal place to visit. There is a mixture of modern and historic attractions to see and a wonderful Marina.

Take the scenic Costa Blanca Express between Alicante and Denia for great glimpses of small town life. The express takes you to the popular resort of Benidorm which is full of life, water parks, fun parks and many other attractions.
If you prefer to drive, Benidorm is 40 minutes
by car.
 

If you are a golfer, thirty minutes drive south,
past the famous salt lakes and huge ‘salt
mountains’ just beyond Guardamar with its
beautiful ‘Central Park’, takes you to some
of the many famous courses in the region,
one of which is a particular favourite of the
King of Spain.
